Summary

HOFr is a peer-to-peer social marketplace where sports fans can create, share and participate in paid-entry daily fantasy sports (DFS) contests centered on live sporting events. HOFr offers users the ability to create contests on most major sports leagues including the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and MLS. HOFr users can customize their own DFS contests by setting the terms (entry-fee, number of seats, number of questions and prize distribution) and generating the content (sport, match-ups, players and statistics). Once a contest is created, a user can share it to the HOFr homepage where other users can choose to pay-to-play and compete against each other to earn the prize.

HOFr’s user-generated contest marketplace is a paid-entry experience. In all HOFr contests, users are challenged to predict a series of statistical outcomes for cash or cash equivalent prizes. The points and eventual scores are calculated in a unique way by assigning values to correct answer choices – less likely outcomes are worth more points than outcomes with a higher likelihood. The user with the highest total score wins the contest.

Users with superior knowledge about players and player matchups included in the contest questions will perform better than those who do not. However, winning outcomes always reflect users' knowledge and skill about the statistical results of players in sporting events.

Contests

HOFr contests consist of a variety of multiple-choice questions in which users submit predictions based on statistical outcomes. All contests require a fee to enter. Paid-entry contests have a minimum of five (5) questions, a maximum of six (6) participants and a limit of one (1) entry per user per contest. Prizes are fixed and will not change once the contest is available in the HOFr app.

Game/question types

HOFr offers twelve (12) different possible game types as well as the option to create your own contest. When creating your own contest, a user can choose between any of the twelve question types which make up the twelve game types. Users can customize contests where each question uses a different question type or where each question uses the same question type.

Eligibility

HOFr will establish the jurisdictions in which a user must be located and of which a user must be resident in order to create and/or participate in any contest. Eligibility for entry into contests can vary depending on the game, prize, sport, competition and such other variables as may be determined by HOFr. Legal residents physically located in Arizona, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Washington, Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Virginia (the “Ineligible Jurisdictions”) are NOT eligible to create an account, deposit funds, create and/or participate in fantasy contests offering methods of entry deemed as consideration, and win cash or cash equivalent prizes. Furthermore, in order to create an account and play, you must, at the time of the registration, be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence, whichever is greater. For further information regarding eligibility, please consult our official Terms of Service.

Account Registration

HOFr does not allow for a single person to maintain more than one account. Multiple accounts are prohibited. If HOFr determines that you have opened, maintained, used or controlled more than one account, penalties may include, but are not limited to, termination of access to service, disqualification from current and future contests, and prize revocation. Any or all of your accounts may be terminated or suspended and any prizes you've won may be revoked, withheld or required to be returned.

Maximum Entries

While there is no limit to the number of contests a user can create and/or participate, HOFr only allows one (1) entry per contest per user. There are no exceptions.

Contest Cancellations

HOFr reserves the right to cancel, extend, modify or suspend contests, in its sole discretion, without any restrictions. If a contest is canceled, all entry-fees paid will be refunded. Multiple factors can result in a canceled contest such as player injuries or postponed games. Please consult the ‘Cancelation Rules’ in the ‘Rules’ section of any HOFr contest for full details.

Contest Creation and Submission

When you opt to create and/or participate in a HOFr contest, follow the prompts and instructions provided to craft and/or answer the questions to complete your submission. After you successfully create a contest, your contest will be posted on the HOFr homepage for yourself and other users to play. A contest creator can choose to participate (or not) in their created contest by selecting it and following the prompts from the HOFr homepage. All users can create a contest without paying an entry-fee, but in order to participate in any paid-entry contest an entry-fee (which will be debited from your HOFr account balance) must be submitted to qualify as a successful submission.

Auto Resize

HOFr contests which do not fill the total listed number of seats when the contests lock may be automatically resized to ensure the contest is not canceled. When a contest is automatically resized, the prize pool and prize distribution are automatically adjusted to match the number of entrants. ‘Auto resize’ is default enabled for all HOFr contests, but the contest creator can turn off/on the feature using the ‘Auto-resize’ toggle on the contest review screen before submitting the contest to the HOFr homescreen.

If a contest is resized, it will attempt to keep the same prize distribution as it was initially created to have. If that prize distribution is not applicable, the next closest prize structure will be chosen. Please consult the following table on resize prize distribution.

Scoring

HOFr’s scoring system is unique to other DFS platforms. Each question within a HOFr contest starts with the same possible value of points, but the value of the correct answer is ultimately determined by the number of users who correctly answer each question. The more users that answer a question correctly, the less value the associated answer choice is worth. In other words, less predictable outcomes are worth more points. Only participants who select the correct answer will receive points. The more questions you answer correctly, the more points you earn. Thus, the more points you total, the higher you finish on the leaderboard.

The number of points available per question is determined by the number of user responses received multiplied by 50 and rounded up to the nearest multiple of 1,000. For example, if there is one question in a contest with 100 responses submitted, the points available for the question is 5,000 points (because (100x50) rounded up to the nearest multiple of 1,000 = 5,000). The total answer value will always be a multiple of 1,000.

For example, assume the following question and answer distributions in a contest with 100 users: “How many passing yards will Dak Prescott have?”

If Dak Prescott throws for 350 yards, then each of the 30 users who selected answer choice “D” will receive 167 points. If Dak Prescott throws for 351 yards, then each of the 10 users who selected answer choice “E” will receive 500 points. Because answer choice “E” was the least predicted option, it is worth the most points.

Contest Leaderboard

Once a contest locks, and entries are no longer allowed, the contest’s live leaderboard will be available to view and follow along. Until the contest officially closes (meaning, when the payouts are awarded) any information, statistical or otherwise, communicated via the contest leaderboard is for entertainment purposes only. Leaderboard position is subject to change. Points will add and subtract, and are not final until the contest closes.

Contest Winners

HOFr intends to close contests and pay-out winners as quickly as possible, but the number one goal is to do so accurately. This requires waiting until the official box scores are finalized. Therefore, it may take up to a couple hours for the contest to close and for the winner(s) to receive the winnings in their HOFr wallet.

On rare occasions, the final box scores are revised after they have been released. When that happens, the scores and results on HOFr will not be updated. Once a HOFr contest closes, the results are final.

Payout Structure

All user-created contests have the option for a ‘Winner-take-all’ prize distribution. Meaning, the user with the highest point total once a contest closes will receive the total prize. In the event of tie (meaning, two or more users having the same highest point total), the prize will be split evenly among those qualifying users.Depending on the number of seats, user-created contests also have the option for a prize distribution up to ‘Top Five.’ All prize distributions above ‘Winner-take-all’ will result in a fixed payout structure with those finishing higher in the rankings receiving a larger percentage of the total prize than those finishing lower in the rankings. A ‘Top Five’ prize distribution will result in a payout for at least the top five highest ranking users (including ties). A ‘Top Three’ prize distribution will result in a payout for at least the top three highest ranking users (including ties). And so on. Consult the following chart for potential payout percentages for different prize distributions.

All prizes are established prior to a contest becoming available to potential participants. Prizes cannot change once a contest is shared and made available to users. The value of any and all prizes are not subject to change depending on the number of participants or the amount of any entry-fees paid by participants.

Free-to-Play Contests

HOFr may, at its sole discretion, offer free-to-play contests with cash or cash equivalent prizes including promotional prizes as determined by HOFr. HOFr-sponsored free-to-play contests may be available to play for eligible users as a reward for their continued play. Free-to-play contests do not require an entry-fee and offer HOFr Coin as the prize. Only HOFr users which reach the free-to-play eligibility requirements determined by HOFr will be able to view and participate in free-to-play contests. Free-to-play eligibility requirements include participation in at least three (3) paid-entry contests during a weekly (Monday-Sunday) period of time. HOFr users who participate in the weekly minimum of three paid-entry contests will be eligible to participate in the following week’s free-to-play contest. HOFr’s weekly free-to-play contest may feature a Jackpot prize. In order to win a Jackpot prize, a user must correctly answer all of the questions in a given contest.

Deposits and Withdrawals

Deposits

You may add funds to your account to pay contest entry fees by any of the methods permitted on the HOFr App. Such funds will be deposited into your account upon actual receipt of the funds.

Due to administrative costs, the minimum amount you can deposit into your account in any one transaction is ten (10) US dollars. In accordance with state-imposed deposit limits, HOFr may restrict deposits in any calendar month to $1,000. All payments into your account must be from a payment source on which you are the named account holder.

In order to run appropriate identity checks, comply with applicable rules and regulations, and help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, you will be required to provide a valid name, mailing address, date of birth, and any other information deemed necessary to verify you, e.g. valid driver’s license, proof of residence or government identification number. While your account is pending verification, you may be able to deposit funds into your account, but you will not be able create and/or participate in paid-entry contests, or withdraw any funds from your account until verification is complete. If HOFr is unable to verify you, it reserves the right to suspend your account and withhold any funds until such time as it has been able to successfully verify you.

All user funds are held in a separate, segregated bank account.

If you're having issues depositing money, please contact HOFr at [email protected] and a representative will assist you.

Withdrawals

You may withdraw cash prize winnings (excluding bonuses and promotions) once funds have settled into your account. Due to administrative costs, the minimum withdrawal amount is ten (10) US dollars, unless you are closing your account. Account holders with pending deposits must wait until those funds clear before requesting a withdrawal.

Any withdrawals are delivered via the withdrawal method you will select. Fund withdrawals are processed immediately but might take up to seven (7) business days to be received. If you do not receive your withdrawal of funds after seven (7) business days, please contact our customer service at [email protected]. Due to processing time, users are limited to one withdrawal every five (5) business days. HOFr reserves the right to suspend your account and/or withhold your withdrawal of any funds pending completion of any investigation of reported or suspected abuse.

HOFr may conduct account verifications for compliance with the Terms of Service, including anti-fraud verification on playing patterns and deposits prior to processing a withdrawal. HOFr also reserves the right to require proof of identity, to verify age and/or identity, prior to processing a withdrawal. Withdrawal payments will not be processed until such verification is complete. If the requested additional information for verification is not received within ten (10) business days, the withdrawal request will be canceled and the account suspended. If your account is revoked for a violation of the Terms of Service, HOFr reserves the right to determine whether to declare as void any transaction placed by you. If a prize has been awarded to an account revoked due a violation of the Terms of Service, HOFr may withhold the prize or revoke the awarding of any prizes associated with such account.

Bonuses and Promotions

HOFr may award bonuses and/or promotions to users that deposit money into their account, and for other marketing purposes. However, those bonuses and/or promotions cannot be withdrawn from your HOFr account. Any attempt to abuse HOFr award bonuses is prohibited, and may result in loss of bonuses, cancellation of winnings and/or a suspended account. Furthermore, HOFr reserves the right to remove any bonuses that remain in an account 30 days after it was initially credited and subsequently not used to participate in a paid-entry contest.

Referrals

HOFr’s referral program allows all eligible participants to receive rewards for players they refer to the HOFr app. HOFr eligible participants ("referrers") are able to refer new users ("referrals") to make a first time deposit on HOFr.

Referrals are individuals other than the referrers who are new to HOFr, create a new HOFr account by clicking the referring user’s unique promotional referral link, successfully verify their identity, deposit at least ten dollars ($10) into their account, and play at least one HOFr Contest.

HOFr participants who refer a friend will receive a one-time amount of ten HOFr Coins (10 HC) to use for play in HOFr contests for each referral supplied.  Referrers will be given the 10 HC credit at the time that each referral makes their first deposit. In addition, each referral will receive ten HOFr Coins (10 HC) once to use for play in HOFr contests.

HOFr Coin

HOFr Coins can be earned as part of promotions and first-time deposit matches. HC awarded as a result of deposit matches are locked until you play through the corresponding deposit. Users that win HC via free-to-play contests become ineligible to win HC again for a period of 30 days.

HOFr Coins (HC) are rewards which can be used to enter any contest of your choice. HC have no cash value and thus cannot be withdrawn. However, they can result in real money winnings/payouts.

All HOFr Coin rewards expire if they go unused for a period of more than 30 days. For a complete breakdown of your HOFr Coin balance and history, visit the ‘Wallet’ section of the HOFr app.
