Questions are not canceled if a player is injured mid-game.
If a sporting event is suspended, HOFr reserves the right to determine whether or not to cancel questions about that game. As a general rule, HOFr will include statistics if the game resumes within a reasonable period of time from when it was originally scheduled.
If a question includes a player that does not play (DNP), the question will be canceled. If a game is postponed, canceled, or rescheduled, questions relating to that game will be canceled. If a game is suspended, HOFr reserves the right to determine whether or not to cancel questions about that game. If multiple questions are canceled, HOFr reserves the right to cancel the contest. There must be at least two scored questions (or non-canceled questions) for a contest to avoid cancellation. If a contest is canceled, HOFr will refund all entry-fees.
At most a couple of hours. HOFr intends to close contests and pay-out winners as quickly as possible, but the number one goal is to do so accurately. This requires waiting until the official box scores are finalized. Therefore, it may take up to a couple hours for the contest to close and for the winner(s) to receive the winnings in their HOFr wallet.
Leaderboard position is subject to change. Points will add and subtract as player statistics develop over the course of the sporting event(s). Points and thus leaderboard position are not final until the contest closes, meaning when the payouts are awarded.
No. Each question is independent of the next. HOFr works on a unique points system where the less popular an answer is, the more points it is worth. Users only earn points for correct answers.
HOFr’s scoring system is unique to other DFS platforms. Each question within a HOFr contest starts with the same possible value of points, but the value of the correct answer is ultimately determined by the number of users who correctly answer each question. The more users that answer a question correctly, the less value the associated answer choice is worth. In other words, less predictable outcomes are worth more points. Only participants who select the correct answer will receive points. The more questions you answer correctly, the more points you earn. Thus, the more points you total, the higher you finish on the leaderboard. For more information on scoring, visit the Official Rules.
Yes. All HOFr contests feature a live leaderboard which updates as the sporting event(s) develop.
No. You do NOT have to get every question correct to win. It’s one of the many things that makes HOFr so great!
