How do I find and enter a HOFr contest?
Start by choosing from one of HOFr’s multiple contest offerings, which you can access from the app’s homepage. HOFr offers both free-to-play and paid-entry contests. To see the details of any of these contests or individual game details, payout information, etc., simply click the information icon located on the contest game card.
How do I enter a paid-entry contest?
To enter the contest, join by selecting a desired contest game card. Paid-entry contests require an entry fee which will be deducted from your account balance once you confirm your participation. All payments are final. No refunds will be issued except in the event that the contest is cancelled, postponed, or interrupted. No substitution or transfer of prizes is permitted. The entry-fee and prize pool for a contest will not change once the contest is created. There will be a maximum amount of total entries accepted for each contest. Guaranteed contests will run whether or not a contest reaches its capacity. Non-guaranteed contests that do not reach capacity before the contest starts, will be canceled and entry fees refunded.
How do I enter a free-to-play contest?
HOFr’s free-to-play contests are designated as “Free” whereas otherwise an entry-fee would be listed within the HOFr app.
To access a free-to-play contest, select the corresponding game card. From there, follow along with the automated prompts. You will be presented with a series of questions and potential answers. Next, you will make your predictions within a set amount of time. You are not required to select an answer for every question in a free-to-play contest in order to be eligible for a prize, but you will not receive any points for unanswered questions.
How many entries can I submit?
There is a limit of one (1) entry per contest per person. There are no exceptions.
How do prizes work?
Upon entering a paid-entry contest, the entry fee and total prize distributions are posted for you on the game card. The buy-in amount listed will be deducted from your account balance upon confirming your entry, and the prize amount listed will be credited to your account upon winning.
: Free-to-play contests offer cash or cash equivalent credit (HOFr Coin) as prizes. Any amount of cash or cash equivalent credit prize won on free-to-play contests can only be used as credit towards paid-entry contest fees. Cash or cash equivalent credit is not eligible to be withdrawn from a user’s account balance.
How does prize distribution work?
For each contest, HOFr will determine and set forth a specific prize distribution, i.e. a number of winner spots that shall receive an identified proportion of the prize. For example, HOFr may specify for a specific contest that the users with the top five (5) cumulative point rankings shall receive an identified proportion of the prize(s). If a prize pool is advertised, the first winner spot will receive at least half of the guaranteed prize pool with the remainder being split amongst the rest of the winners in an identified number of spots. For example, if there is a contest with a $1,000 prize pool and a top five prize distribution, then the user in the first winner spot with the single highest cumulative point ranking will receive at least $500. The remaining prize amount will then be distributed sequentially according to the order in which the remaining four winner spots are placed in the cumulative point rankings.
If multiple users have the same cumulative point total (a “Tie”) then such users will receive an equal portion of the prize. Furthermore, if prizes are awarded to the users who finish in the top five (5) cumulative point rankings for a specific contest, then there may be more than five (5) winners for that contest if multiple users fall into any of the five (5) top cumulative point rankings.
How are HOFr contests scored? How do points work?
The number of points available per question will depend on the number of users who answer the applicable question and the total number of users that the contests allow. The number of points available per question will be equal to the number of users in the applicable contest who answered each question multiplied by 50 and rounded up to the nearest multiple of 1,000. For example, if there is one question in a contest with 100 user responses submitted, the points available for the question are 5,000 points (because (100x50) rounded up to the nearest multiple of 1,000 = 5,000). For each question in an applicable contest, the points will be split amongst all of the users who selected the correct answer. For example, if 10 users selected the right answer to the question, then the 5,000 points available will be split equally amongst the users selecting the right answer such that each such user will be awarded 500 points for that question. As the number of points available for a question and answers to questions become known, points will be awarded and simultaneously added to a cumulative total for all questions that have been answered as of that point in time. Each user will be ranked based on the cumulative points earned by such user during the applicable contest.
How are winners determined?
After each contest ends, the tentative winner(s) are announced (generally within 24 hours) but remain subject to final verification. Prizes may then be awarded, consistent with each contest’s rules, to eligible winners within a reasonable time after the contest’s conclusion. The results and winners of each contest offered will be determined by HOFr at its own discretion and such determinations are final.
How do I see upcoming contests or my previous contests?
HOFr’s upcoming schedule – including contest type, prizes, entry fee (if applicable), can be viewed from the “Calendar” section of the HOFr app. For complete information on any contest, simply select a game card and navigate through its details.
Can contest results change?
Unfortunately, yes. All ‘live’ statistics and other information provided through the app and related information sources are unofficial. Live sports statistics are offered for informational and/or entertainment purposes only. HOFr reserves the right to make adjustments as they see fit based on errors or irregularities in the transmission of the results information or in the calculation of the results.
What is the winner verification process?
All winners are subject to verification by HOFr, whose decisions are final. HOFr shall solely determine any form of verification. A user is not a winner of any prize unless and until (i) such user has provided any requested information necessary for HOFr to comply with its requirements under applicable law and/or verify such entrant’s eligibility, (ii) HOFr verifies such user’s eligibility and the winning entry, and (iii) such user has been notified that the verification process is complete. HOFr will not accept screenshots, affidavits or other evidence of winning in lieu of its validation process. Furthermore, HOFr, in accordance with its Terms of Service, reserves the right to conduct an investigation into whether or not any win is legitimate in which a user may be asked to provide more information. The result of and response to said investigation will be at HOFr’s sole discretion.
What is HOFr’s cancellation policy?
As a general rule, HOFr reserves the right to cancel, extend, modify or suspend contests, in its sole discretion, without any restrictions. In the event that a paid-entry contest is canceled, entry fees will be refunded to the players’ accounts. Guaranteed contests will run whether or not a contest reaches its capacity. HOFr reserves the right to cancel and refund entry-fees for non-guaranteed contests that do not reach capacity.

Live stats and scoring updates are provided by a verified third-party stats provider while a contest is in progress. Contest results and winners will generally be announced within 24 hours of the close time of a given contest. Occasionally, official scorers will issue stat corrections after a live event has ended. In this case, any official scoring changes occurring after a contest is complete can result in changes to the results and winners.
